house tour: kitchen

When I first saw this house and looked at the kitchen, I was so excited. No, it didn't have beautiful creamy, inset cabinets, a stunning backsplash or the perfect farmhouse sink but I can't be picky as a renter. I am just so happy to have a sink with a window overlooking the backyard, a decent amount of counter space and a gas stove. Those were pretty much my main requirements. I really don't care for the dark cabinets or the granite countertops but I should be (and really am!) grateful that they're new! Maybe someday I'll get to have my dream kitchen but for now, this one suits me just fine.

  3. I have the same mail bins you have on the wall, but it's so heavy and keeps falling off. How do you keep yours on the wall?

  4. I love your kitchen! Even with the dark cabinets, your house just looks so bright and light. If it makes you feel better, I'm a renter and my kitchen cabinets look like they were handmade about a million years ago. I'd take your cabinets in a heartbeat!

  5. I love your house. Everything is so light, bright, clean and modern! I made those letters. Are yours the real metal ones from anthropologie?
